After breakfast and morning devotions we loaded the cattle truck to go up to Porterios arriba which is one of the highest places on the mountain. We started at a school which was on top of the mountain. We had two groups stay at the school and teach the kids about dehydration, brushing teeth, and how to be a nurse. The other two groups went out and did house visits. After lunch all the groups went out and did house visits. We saw everything from hypertension, fevers, abscesses, wounds, and diabetes. The students assessed, educated, and prayed for each patient. We then met back at the church on the mountain to give out the food bags to the families in need. It was a wonderful day! Tonight we plan on having a night of worship and tomorrow we will enjoy a day of rest.
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. As a team we want to thank Old Castle Coastal for donating our much used medical bags and everyone who donated to make this trip possible.
God is faithful and we are grateful to be used by him to reach the people of El Salvador.
